Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry that deals with children from birth into their teenage years.  Children are highly susceptible to tooth problems; in fact, a 2002 report by the Surgeon General of the United States reported that dental problems are the most common childhood medical ailment in America, and five times more common than asthma.  Pediatric dentists often teach children lifelong habits about dental care and oral hygiene.  To this end, pediatric dentists play an important role in children's development and health.

Most small children don't enjoy going to the dentist, especially if there's a painful procedure or surgery involved.  Successful pediatric dentists must work effectively with frightened children and anxious parents, all while giving the best dental care possible.  One of the objectives of our office is to care for the youngest patients at the highest possible level.  That's why we offer many services that are performed in a pleasant and friendly environment.
